- ARTIST'S COMMENTS: Ben is the physical manifestation of my Star Wars obsession. Unlike my Star Trek obsession, that I got over a while ago, I'm still crazy about Star Wars. I've collected 70+ of the expanded universe novels, and a while ago I could recal dozens of planets, characters, and races that existed in the Star Wars universe (I'm out of practice and haven't read any books for awhile, so I'm forgetting a lot of stuff). Ben, like John, wasn't supposed to be a main character, but he seems to have attached himself in the story anyways, so who am I to complain? He and John add a new perspective that I didn't have before; the male point of view. Good, now my strip is a little more balanced. Later, Ben's character will be explored a bit more so he won't be quite so uncertian of everything.
