About the Comic

Nowhere University inhabits this world, but not entirely. Its characters are wacky fan-boys and girls of various interests and intensities, and are lightly based on real people. Or at the least the female roomies are. Literary characters seem to come to life here. Will our main characters be able to unlock all the mysteries of Nowhere U? Can they even figure out what the heck they're DOING there?

The idea for this whole wacky strip actually originated from a drawing I did of me and two of my roommates as to what we would look like in a comic. I thought it would be cool at that point to do a comic in which we were characters. It's kinda blown itself out of proportion since.

About the Comic-ka

Allison McMullin (me) is an eternal undergrad at Brigham Young University (the former being much to her annoyance). She will major in whatever major she likes that will accept her first. Interests include drawing, reading, sci-fi, fantasy, surfing the web, watching cartoons and anime (and anything animated, as long as she likes the style), copying/sketching various animation styles, and laughing. She is an overall cheerful, optimistic person who can be somewhat shy in public but really hyper around familar people (and online, where she is known by either Shada or mystryl_shada; ten points for you if you know where she got her name, and how she spelt "mystryl" wrong). She is definitely not normal, and will admit to it. She is crazy. She can be insane. She wonders why she is talking in third-person. O_o

Anyways, the main characters of my strip are all in some way based on people I know in real life. Either that, or aspects of me (for example, I don't know anyone like Ben Turner or John Stewart, but they represent the Warsie and Trekkie inside me...except I am by far a bigger Warsie fan than Trekkie, and I hope Trekkies will forgive me this fault).
